Who We Are
Our professional staff has years of experience caring for families from all walks of life. We are leaders in our profession, with dedication to service and professional integrity.
When we sit down with a family, our shared goal is to create a fitting, memorable and affordable service for their loved one. We offer them a wide variety of services and products, as well as a wealth of creative ideas and suggestions. Together, we'll design a memorial or funeral service that suits their needs now, and in the future. Families who come to us know that years from now, they will have deep peace-of-mind because in coming to us, they've done their best to honor their loved one.
Our firm traces its roots back to 1921, when our first facility was dedicated. Many years later, this location has seen renovations and changes, but has always been and will continue to be an integral part of this community.
Over the years, the original mission of the firm hasn't changed. We have always intended to provide the best, most professional services, complemented by the finest products. Today, we pride ourselves on being current with the major changes in funeral service trends - and bring those innovations and memorialization options to our client families with integrity and insight.

I have been in Sales and Marketing most of my career. I took a few breaks from the corporate grind and owned both a café and catering business, but that was so long ago you might say it was in a past life. After selling my business in 1995 I returned to a career in financial services sales. Most recently, I was the Advanced Life / Estate Planning Northern California Regional Sales Specialist for CITI Smith Barney. When yet another merger was imminent, I took stock of my life options and decided to go to Le Cordon Bleu and became a Certified Pastry Chef in 2011.
All my life I have had a dream that I envisioned in both my sleep and waking hours. A place where anyone would feel welcome, to serve fresh yummy food that I was proud of and to be surrounded with fun, hardworking associates who value the business and our customers as much as I did. Saucie’s is the realization of that dream.
One day I was sitting in the company of very dear friends when I heard that a space in Martinez that had previously been a bakery was available. From there the snowball of Saucie’s started rolling. Saucie’s has truly has been a culmination of great landlords, generous and supportive friends and family, local contractors who built out Saucie’s on time and at or under budget, a great community that has embraced us and customers that I am honored to call my friends.
