AC Transit provides bus service in Alameda and Western Contra Costa counties, and TransBay service between those areas and San Francisco. Buses operate daily in most areas. The local fare is $1.50 for adults and teens, and $0.75 for youths ages 5-17, disabled riders and seniors. Call for information on TransBay fares, discount monthly passes and ticket books.

Central Contra Costa Transit Authority-County Connection

County Connection provides daily service throughout Central Contra Costa County, with connections in East & West County and to El Sobrante. Service is limited on Sundays. Cash fares are $1.50 for regular fixed-route service, and $1.75 for Express Bus Service. Seniors and Disabled passengers pay $0.75 with proper identification. Exact change is required. Discounted multi-use passes are available.

WestCAT operates 10 local bus routes that serve Crockett, Hercules, Pinole, Port Costa, Rodeo, Tara Hills, and the Hilltop Mall area. WestCAT also operates the Martinez Link 30Z line that runs between the El Cerrito del Norte BART station and Martinez. WestCAT operates two express bus routes between the Hercules Transit Center and El Cerrito del Norte BART Station.
Local service and the Martinez Link operate Monday through Friday 6am to 8pm. The J Express runs from Hercules and Pinole via San Pablo Avenue to El Cerrito del Norte BART Station on weekday from 5am to midnight, Saturdays from 7am to midnight, and Sundays from 8am to 8pm. In Hercules, the JX Line provides express service to El Cerrito del Norte BART Station weekdays 5:30am to 8:30am and 3:40pm to 7:00pm. Call for detailed schedule information.
Exact change is required. The fare is $1.50. Reduced fares are available on multi-ride ticket booklets (except on Line 30Z). For seniors and disabled passengers, the fare is $0.75 on Line 30Z. Up to 2 children, ages 5 and younger ride free with an adult. Transfers between all between all WestCAT lines are free.
